Abstract:
A high pressure promoted tandem [4 + 2]/[3 + 2] cycloaddition of beta-nitrostyrene with a variety of enol ethers followed by a base catalysed rearrangement provided a novel class of di- and tricyclic N-oxy-beta-lactam compounds.
