Abstract:
The title compound C20H16O2 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P 2(1) with a = 6.0310(5) Angstrom, b = 13.9396(6) Angstrom, c = 8.5560(5) Angstrom, beta = 100.354(8)degrees, V = 707.60(8) Angstrom(3), and Z = 2. The crystal structure has been solved by vector-search methods and refined by full-matrix least-squares to R = 0.05 for 4788 reflections (I > 2 sigma(1)). The title compound has been prepared in the course of a study on cyclopentanoid natural products.
